Word Search

Prefix-searches every KJV surface_text and groups by Strong's number, so an English word (e.g. 'king') resolves to the Greek/Hebrew word(s) it translates (e.g. G935), ranked by how often each was rendered that way. The mirror question to lexicon (which starts from a known Strong's number); this starts from the English word instead.

Note: this endpoint returns JSON only.

Parameters

term (required) — English word (or prefix) to search the KJV text for.
limit (optional) — Maximum distinct Strong's numbers to return.
Defaults to 20
